Cookies and related browser features help Room & Ribbon remember a shopping session, keep you signed in and provide the functions you choose to use.
What cookies do
A cookie is a small piece of information saved by your browser. Some cookies last for a browsing session; others remain for a limited period or until you delete them. The cookies used can depend on whether you add an item to your cart, sign in or use another feature.
Shopping and account cookies
Our WordPress and WooCommerce store can use the following necessary cookies when you interact with the relevant functions:
| Cookie or family | Purpose |
|---|---|
woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart | Help the store recognize changes to the cart. |
wp_woocommerce_session_* | Connect a shopping session with its cart information. |
wordpress_logged_in_* and authentication cookies | Recognize a valid signed-in session and support account access. |
wordpress_test_cookie | Check whether the browser accepts cookies needed for sign-in. |
Some features can set additional preference cookies. For example, if a comment form offers a choice to remember your details and you select it, the browser can remember those details for another comment. Cookie names may include a site-specific identifier, represented above by an asterisk.
The home-screen app
If you add Room & Ribbon to your home screen, your browser retains information needed to recognize and open the installed web app. An internet connection is still needed to shop and use your account. The app does not deliberately save cart, checkout or account pages for offline use.
You can remove the home-screen app and manage its website data through your browser or device settings. Removing the app and clearing the website’s cookies may be separate actions.
Other websites and optional features
If you continue to a payment service or follow a social-media link, that service may use its own cookies under its own policies. Your choices on another service are managed there.
If optional tracking features are introduced, we will update the information provided and offer the choices required by applicable law. Continued browsing is not treated as permission to activate optional cookies where consent is required.
Your browser controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies and other site data. You can also review stored-cookie expiry information in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may empty a cart, sign you out or prevent account and checkout functions from working correctly.
For questions, use our Contact page. Our Privacy Policy explains how other personal information is handled.
